What to expect

  • Altitude.Flagstaff sits around 7,000 feet. If you're coming from lower ground, arrive a day or two early and hydrate like it's your job.
  • Terrain. Forest roads and trail through pine country — runnable, with honest climbs. Details per course once routes are locked.
  • Aid & water. Aid station locations and cutoff times will be published with the final course maps. Burros drink first.
  • Weather. Late June is usually warm and dry, but mountain weather writes its own schedule. Plan for sun, wind, and surprise.
